My wife and I saw Conan O’Brien at the Orpheum in Minneapolis last night. And, WOW! Even better than I expected. The energy was like going to a rock concert and Conan was hilarious. As funny as I’ve ever seen him. Highlights were Andy Richter doing a fake commercial for the infamous local Juicy Lucy; Brian Setzer, Conan and the band doing Rock This Town; and Conan’s opening monologue filled with the usual self deprecation, sarcasm and lots of local references that made us feel special.
Here are a few crappy pics from my cell phone:
Thanks, Conan!
*Update: here is a video from MPLS.TV. The wife and I are actually in the background of the opening scene, right before they cut to the marquee…
NSFW!

Wow… you are famous! A fabulous date night with Conan. Coco is sorely missed around our house. Who got to take care of W. while you were at the show?
Hey Jenn – Grandma got the call. It was a fun night. We saw LaBamba at the Rock Bottom before the show too!
